EB2000 Knowledge ResourcesOne of the major impediments in building sustainable platforms for collaboration between globally dispersed individuals and communities is overcoming the knowledge gap. Knowledge gap often contributes to an expectation gap which in turn makes it difficult to formulate partnership for development even between people who share a common objective. Knowledge gap leads to duplication of efforts, misallocation of resources, and wastage of time. However, it is also the case that we are living in a time period where the explosion of knowledge products has far exceeded our individual capacities to understand, comprehend and apply. Therefore making knowledge products available does not necessarily lead to a reduction in the knowledge gap. Keeping these concerns in mind, EB2000, has chosen to categorize its knowledge resources into six major categories as follows: |
